It all begins with a plan. Every District should know where it’s going and how it’s going to get there. A facility plan does just that—it identifies the facility needs while providing a comprehensive profile of the District, including enrollment projections, demographics, programs and services, capacity analysis, where students live vs. where they attend school, and finances.
While data gathering is important, it is even more important to gain community input and buy-in. There are several paths a plan can take, and getting stakeholders involved in choosing the path is key to the plan’s success.
